REPORTS
EMA
Education Maintenance Allowance

It’s true! If you are planning to stay on full-time in education, you may be able to get extra money to help finance your studies. The EMA is payable to anyone studying in full-time education, in either a college or a school, if their family’s annual income is less than £30,810 (correct tax year 2007/08).

Depending on your circumstances, you could receive £30, £20, or £10 per week, and there are £100 bonuses you could receive if you do well on your course. The money is paid directly into your bank account and can be used for anything you want.
